Printed and Google Math Games for Middle School

Many teachers will be teaching in either a virtual distance learning classroom or some sort of blended learning classroom this fall. With this in mind, I have been working really hard to create digital Google slide updates to all of my math games. Teaching virtually doesn’t mean students can’t be engaged and having fun while learning math! Here are a few of the updates to games, with video previews, I have recently added. With the Google slides version of each math game, students in a small groups can all go into a copy of the board game and play together. These games have been designed for either 6th grade math, 7th grade math, or 8th grade math.

*Note: If you have already downloaded these game, the updates are included. Be sure to re-download and find the Google slides link in the instructions for each game!

The 9 fractions and decimals board games that are included in this bundle are a fun way for students to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals. All games now include a digital edition that can be played in Google slides! If you need games that involve negative numbers, I also have this Negative Fractions and Decimals Board Game Bundle.

These six algebra board games have you covered if you want to make simplifying expressions, solving equations, and solving inequalities more engaging and fun for your middle school students!

Out of all of my math board games, I think I had the most fun designing the game boards for Area Invasion and Volume Victory! Students find the areas and volumes as they work their way around the board. Areas include rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, and circles. Volumes include rectangular prisms, triangular prisms, cylinders, cones, and pyramids!

Mean, Median, and Mode Mania and Probability Panic are great options for probability and statistics. As with all of the other games, both a digital and printed version is available. Please note that for Probability Panic, each student or group will need a 6-sided die and a coin to flip!

Whether you are in the classroom with students, in a distance learning setting, or some combination of the two, these math games can help keep students engaged and having fun in math class. The printed and Google math game option for each game will give you the versatility you need this year! As always, if you have any questions about how to use these math games or what is included in each game, let me know!
